1. Who we are
My Medicare Portal is an independent application assistance service. We are not affiliated with Services Australia, Medicare, or the Australian Government. You can contact us at info@mymedicareportal.com.
2. What we collect
We collect the information you enter into our application form: names, dates of birth, contact details, residential and postal addresses, residency and visa details, existing Medicare card details where relevant, and the identity documents you upload. We also collect basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type, and payment confirmation data from our payment provider (we never see or store your full card number).
3. Why we collect it
Solely to prepare your Medicare enrolment application, to review your supporting documents, to communicate with you about your order, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
4. How we store and protect it
All data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted with our hosting and database providers. Access is limited to staff who need it to prepare your application.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us operate: hosting and database infrastructure, our email delivery provider, and our payment processor. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising purposes.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep your application data only as long as needed to deliver our service and to meet record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion at any time by emailing info@mymedicareportal.com and we will action it unless we are legally required to retain a record.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may complain about our handling of it. We respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies and browser storage to save your in-progress application, and advertising/analytics tags to measure the performance of our marketing. You can block cookies in your browser, though saving your progress may then not work.
